This image was used as the inside artwork to the debut CD by rock band Hard Rain.

The brief was for "a cathedral size studio or the batcave, with bladerunner lighting, with a touch of the alien film to it, like a stage waiting for the band.”

Some members of Hard Rain were in the band Magnum prior to the release of this CD and thier covers were mainly illustrated by Rodney Matthews, one of my favourite artists, so I had a lot to live up to.

The electronics were taken from stock art and adapted, the cabling, lights, walls and monitors were drawn. All the elements were brought together in Adobe Photoshop.
