Azimuth Studios were a recording studio based in Derbyshire, they approached me at the start up stage with no existing identity. They were looking for something with a clean, precise look to it. The company wanted to attract the broadest possible client base so didn't want the logo to be identified with any particular genre of music, yet not alienate possible recording artists either.
I used Adobe Illustrator to create the head, aiming for a simplistic, pure look about it. It wasn't the main part of the logo, but was used to balance off the heavier feel of the coloured sections of the design. The "A" symbol was indended as a device that could be used on it's own, yet still be identified as part of the Azimuth identity, I gave it a fluid feel to reflect the fluidity of the music.
